The gallery consists of pictures dated from 1930 to 1952.

In May, 2008, Arlene Perry from Nags Head, N.C. donated several picture albums (containing pictures from 1930 to 1952) to the F.B.R.A . The albums had belonged to her step-father, Jerry Sonnenberg. Jerry built the pier, and opened up the river for public access. He also developed Fairview Village, sometimes referred to as the “new beach”.

The picture below shows Arlene explaining some of the information that she brought to Fairview:

Janet Harrover scanned over 200 pages of pictures, and they were uploaded as a Picasa web album.  From this site, you may view the pictures individually or have them presented as a slide show. You can also download copies or order prints.   Go to the ‘Help’ option if you need direction.

UNFORTUNATELY, Picasa is no longer supported.  We’re finding another way to access the pictures  11/28/2016
